WebSep 21, 2024 · My son’s Traditions ML will load shockwave saboted bullets pretty easily. Hornady saboted bullets, not so much. Can be done but requires waaaayyyyyy more force than it should. Not sure what causes the difference, but Hornady saboted bullets apparently have a larger diameter. Haven’t tried putting a Hornady bullet in a shockwave sabot. WebThe Shockwave is a pretty conventional saboted muzzleloader bullet that’s great for deer hunters like Jim Shockey that use a Thompson Center muzzleloader. It’s not the best muzzleloader bullet out there, but it’s reasonably priced and will work really well for deer hunters in most situations.
